ESPCR TRAVEL AWARDS TO ATTEND ESPCR / IPCC MEETINGS

The European Society for Pigment Cell Research regularly provides a limited number of travel awards for attendance at ESPCR / IPCC meetings. Depending on the number of applicants selected and the funds available, awards may cover conference registration, gala dinner, some/most support for accommodation, and, in some cases, it may also travel (economy class return air, rail fare or car fuel costs). Awards will be selected by the ESPCR Travel Awards Committee on a competitive basis and will be primarily meant for students/MD trainees/young postdocs that are ESPCR members and will be presenting their work at the meeting in the form of a Poster or a talk.

ESPCR TRAVEL AWARDS for IPCC2023

The ESPCR Board has established six (6) ESPCR Travel Awards for junior ESPCR members willing to attend the next IPCC2023 in Bilbao (Spain), each with a value of 500 Euros. Four of these ESPCR Travel Awards will be supported by ESPCR and assigned to candidates whose research topic is related to ESPCR scope. Two additional ESPCR Travel Awards will be supported by funds of the Vitiligo Group and will be assigned for candidates whose research is related to vitiligo.

ELIGIBILITY:
You are eligible for a ESPCR Travel Award if you are an effective ESPCR member (active member in 2023), and you are a Student, Postdoc, Resident or Young faculty member (appointed for less than 3 years at the time of this request), and you are submitting an abstract for presentation in person at the IPCC2023 conference. Your current ESPCR membership will be confirmed.

THE FUNDS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED AS FOLLOWS:
A fixed amount, 264 Euros, will be used to cover the registration fee (194 Euros) and the Gala dinner (70 Euros) of the selected ESPCR travel awardees, and will be paid directly to IPCC2023 organizers. The remaining funds (236 Euros) must be used to cover, totally or in part, accommodation and/or travelling expenses to Bilbao. These remaining funds will be transferred to a bank account indicated by the ESPCR awarded person upon presenting to ESPCR Treasurer PDF copies of invoices paid accounting for the travelling and/or accommodation expenses associated with the participation of the selected person in this conference in Bilbao. In case the sum of the invoices provided is lower than the remaining funds then only the justified expenses will be reimbursed. In case a selected applicant had already paid registration and gala dinner these costs will be reimbursed by ESPCR.

Decisions will be communicated by 31 March 2023

Please note that candidates who are finally not selected for a travel award will still be able to register at an early-bird fee after 31 March.
