ESPCR AWARDS

ESPCR AWARDS Committee: Lluís Montoliu, Cédric Delevoye, Duarte Barral and Heather Etchevers

The ESPCR has established three types of awards:

ESPCR Award

The ESPCR Award has been established by the ESPCR Board in 2018 to recognize and acknowledge scientists who have made outstanding contributions to the field of pigment cell research. The ESPCR Award is given at the annual ESPCR meetings (every first meeting after the corresponding IPCC conference) and it is associated with a Keynote Lecture of the awarded researcher. Researchers awarded with this ESPCR Prize automatically become ESPCR Honorary Members.

The Henry Stanley Raper Medal

The H.S. Raper Medal "is an Award selected by the ESPCR as an international recognition of outstanding contributions to the biochemistry of pigmentation". The H.S. Raper Medal is awarded at the International Pigment Cell Conferences (IPCC), and from IPCC-2020 onwards, as agreed by the ESPCR Board in 2018, will be associated with a Keynote Lecture of the awarded researcher at the corresponding IPCC. Previous H.S. Raper Medalists are listed here and in the IFPCS web site for list of previous awardees.

Fritz Anders Lecture

The Fritz Anders Medal

The Fritz Anders Medal

The Fritz Anders Lecture was established by the ESPCR in remembrance of the prestigious German scientist, Fritz Anders (Berlin, 1919-Giessen, 1999), Professor of Genetics at the University of Giessen, who pioneered studies of genetics of melanoma using fish animal models. The Fritz Anders medal is awarded at the annual ESPCR meetings (every second meeting after the corresponding IPCC conference) and it is associated with a Keynote Lecture of the awarded researcher. Previous Fritz Anders Lecture awardees at ESPCR meetings are listed:
